Who knew I could be a pool builder? I was quoted between $100 -$150 k to have professionals install my pool! 5 things I wish I knew before building my first pool: 1. First and foremost, hire a reputable company. It may seem simple to build your own pool, but it’s actually fairly complex. Hire somebody with quality warranties and a service department. It’ll pay off in the long run.💰 2. Install an auto fill. Pool water evaporates rather quickly, an auto fill will maintain a constant level of water in your pool.☀️ 3. Take your time when selecting the tile and color of your plaster. This will become the final appearance of your pool. The plaster specifically determines the color of the water when it’s filled up.✨ 4. Sufficient pool size. Everyone has different needs, consider how many people will be using it and the intended purposes. Don’t build a pool too large or too small.💧 5. Bonding. If water edge is within 5 feet of any metal or steel a bond wire will need to be installed.
