🙋🏻‍♀️ Ce que j’ai pas eu le temps de dire : La cause racine du leak Anthropic a racheté Bun, un runtime JavaScript, fin 2025. Claude Code est entièrement construit dessus. Or un bug connu de Bun, signalé 20 jours avant le leak, faisait que les source maps étaient générées en mode production même quand elles auraient dû être désactivées. Le bug était encore ouvert le 31 mars. Autrement dit : leur propre outil, de leur propre acquisition, a probablement causé le leak de leur propre code source. L’anti-distillation, ce qu’ils voulaient vraiment protéger Dans le code leaké, y’a un système entier construit pour que les concurrents ne puissent pas copier Claude Code. Deux mécanismes : injection de faux outils dans les réponses pour polluer les données d’entraînement adverses, et des résumés cryptographiquement signés qui masquent le raisonnement interne. Ce système a leaké dans le même fichier que tout le reste. Le détail absurde dans le code Une fonction de 3 167 lignes avec 12 niveaux d’imbrication. Et 187 verbes de chargement hardcodés, dont « hullaballooing » et « razzmatazzing ». Quelqu’un chez Anthropic s’est amusé. La question IP que personne n’a résolue Claude Code est généré à 90% par de l’IA selon les propres déclarations d’Anthropic. Sous le droit américain, une œuvre créée par une lA n’est pas protégée par le copyright sans contribution humaine significative. La Cour Suprême a refusé de revoir ce standard en mars 2026. Conséquence : les DMCA d’Anthropic contre les mirrors GitHub sont sur un terrain juridique fragile, et une réécriture Python du code est apparue avant le lever du soleil, légalement DMCA-proof. Anthropic's first acquisition ever was Bun. They didn't buy a runtime. They took out a hostage. In December, Anthropic acquired Bun. The reassurances were the standard ones — same team, same MIT license, no roadmap shift. What they didn't say: Bun didn't need to sell. Zero revenue, but $26M in VC, four years of runway, and 25% month-over-month growth. They walked in. The footnote that explains the deal: Claude Code ships as a Bun executable. Anthropic's billion-dollar AI coding product literally runs on the runtime they just bought. So Anthropic didn't acquire a JS runtime — they bought leverage. Today, that same Claude Code rate-limits paying users on the $200 plan after three prompts. The runtime is next. This week, a Bun super-fan called it textbook enshittification on wwj.dev, and walked back to pnpm. HN put the post at 295 points by the time we caught it. The smell alone is pure comfort 🤍 Ingredients: • 500 g flour • 250 ml warm milk • 1 egg • 2 tbsp sugar • 1 tsp salt • 7 g dry yeast • 50 g butter How to make: Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast — let it sit for 10 minutes. Burger Buns pt. 2 - Brioche style Bun A little fancier than yesterday, this one ideally uses a mixer to help handle the sticky dough, though if you’re brave you can tackle by hand. This is not your typical brioche, more an enriched dough using eggs and butter, in a much smaller percentage than is normal brioche (usually 30-70% butter). I’m breaking convention with a different process on this one, that I find makes it simpler. We’ll tackle some more techniques in tomorrow’s burger bun. Come back tomorrow for Milk Buns! - 400g bread flour, I used 12.5% protein. - 30g sugar (7.5%) - 4g instant yeast (1%) - 1 egg - 160g plus 80g milk water (60%) - 10% unsalted butter (40g) - 10g salt (2.4%) Egg wash 1 whole egg whisked Mix water, milk, sugar, egg, and yeast in a jug, set to the side. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add flour, salt, and butter. Using the paddle, mix until the butter has been distributed through the flour in small pieces. Add wet ingredients, and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Scrape down the bowl, swap over to the dough hook, and knead until the dough pulls away from the side and is fairly smooth (10-15 minutes). Place in a clean bowl, cover with a damp cloth in a warm spot until doubled in size (1-2hrs). Punch air out of dough, and divide into 6-8 even pieces. Using a little spray oil on your hands and bench, form the pieces of dough into tight spheres. See my previous video for an explanation on this technique. Place on a baking tray with baking paper or silicone underneath Cover (I like to use an upside down baking tray) and proof until 2-3x size. They should bounce back slowly when pressed. Mine were a little under proofed in the video, forgive my lack of patience. Brunch with egg wash all over, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 190°c for 15-20 minutes, until golden all over. You may like to turn the tray around halfway through for even browning. Leave to rest for 10 minutes before cutting open and enjoying. If you’re making a burger, toast each cut side in a little butter before constructing. #bread #burgerbun #briochebun
