wait for it 🐍🥚 how many eggs do you think this 16 ft mama python had? This was the larger of TWO invasive Burmese python nests @kyletheguy_ @snakeaholic and I got at the SAME TIME this day!! It was literally one of the best days of my life, and it’s all in our new YouTube video where we remove 431 python eggs!! If tactfully executed, we have a lot of hope that this methodology of removal can be used to save a lot of native wildlife. Check it out to see the full capture - link is in my bio :) #TheCritterCult #jointhecult #savetheEverglades

Florida scientists witnessed a Burmese python swallowing full-sized deer whole 👀🐍 #OnlyinFlorida By the time they got to the scene, the python had already swallowed about half of the 77-lb deer, and it took about 30 more minutes for the 15-ft female python to consume the other half. Researchers in the region recently proved that Burmese pythons are able to stretch their jaws wide enough to swallow large prey, such as fully grown deer and alligators whole. Burmese pythons are one of the most concerning invasive species in the region. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), severe declines in mammal populations throughout Everglades National Park have been linked to the species. A study found that populations of raccoons had declined 99.3%, opossum populations declined 98.9%, and bobcats 87.5% since 1997. Other mammals have “effectively disappeared” over time, such as marsh rabbits, cottontail rabbits and foxes, according to the USGS. Deer are also primary prey for Florida panthers so this is a major concern for the endangered species. 📍 Florida Everglades Tag us in your Florida videos to get reposted! A python was found inside a household closet after entering the home in pursuit of prey. In parts of Australia, snakes regularly move through suburban and urban areas, especially when food sources such as possums are present. Enclosed indoor spaces can provide warmth, cover, and a temporary sense of security for a hunting snake. Australia’s native wildlife often overlaps with human environments. Pythons are non venomous constrictors that follow scent trails and movement, not buildings or property lines. When prey enters roof cavities or wall spaces, snakes may follow without distinction between indoor and outdoor territory. After feeding, the snake was safely removed by professionals and relocated to nearby bushland. This approach reduces risk to residents while allowing the animal to continue its natural behavior elsewhere. Situations like this highlight how wildlife movement is driven by opportunity rather than intent, even in highly developed areas.
