I want to thank everyone for having reached 100,000 followers. It’s such a pleasure making these cooking reels and especially having people recreate them to share with their loved ones. At its genesis my account got a huge boost from my daughters,niece and their significant others in addition to their amazing friends but I have to also mention all of my fellow home cooks and chefs that have encouraged, taught and inspired me to improve. 📍Buscemi 🗒️31/08/2025 🌟A Buscemi l’ultima domenica di agosto si festeggia la Madonna del Bosco, patrona di questo piccolo quanto elegante e caratteristico paese adagiato sulle colline iblee. ⭐️Il culto della Madonna in questa zona del siracusano è profondamente radicato da tempi immemorabili, ma la devozione alla Madonna con il titolo del Bosco, nacque a seguito del prodigioso ritrovamento di una immagine della Vergine col Bambino dipinta su una roccia. ⭐️La leggenda narra che il ritrovamento si verificò un giorno in cui due frati muti chiesero agli abitanti di essere aiutati per aprire un varco nel bosco. Alla richiesta di aiuto i contadini risposero con slancio e dopo aver aperto il varco tra rivi e sterpaglie, videro davanti ai loro occhi il dipinto sulla roccia davanti al quale ardeva una lampada. Nei pressi del luogo trovarono anche una sorgente e attorno a quella roccia costruirono una chiesetta. ⭐️Il culto della Madonna del Bosco ha una grande risonanza in tutto il territorio ibleo, da Siracusa a Ragusa, tanto da valerle il titolo significativo di Regina degli Iblei. ⭐️Diversi i momenti che scandiscono la processione, la festosa uscita del fercolo con la statua (realizzata su modello del dipinto sul finire del XVIII secolo), l’ingresso in paese, l’accoglienza e l’uscita dalla chiesa di S. Antonio con il saluto degli stendardi che, incrociati, si aprono e alzano al passaggio del fercolo. La “ballata” che precede il trionfale ingresso in chiesa madre, ovvero “a Trasuta” tra migliaia di n’zareddi, carte colorate, coriandoli e fuochi d’artificio. #gira_con_noi_sicilia #sicilia #sicily #buscemi #madonnadelbosco
