I did part of my CA articleship in a Big 4 & I’m very grateful for the experience, but it was also very hectic & not everyone can manage it. However, If I had to do it all over again, I definitely would! I don’t regret going for a Big 4, but you shouldn’t do it just because someone is telling you to, see the pros & cons and decide for yourself! CA is a real equaliser. Open to all. No reservations. Equitable. With hard work and consistency one has a real chance to grow personally and professionally in life as a Chartered Accountant. Yes, there are many paths you can take to success. But I am very grateful to have chosen this path for myself. The level of grit and perseverance it has instilled in me has helped me tackle challenges in life. I am the first CA in my family. I did not have any guidance as such. But was lucky to stumble on the right path along the way. Doing articleship from KPMG is something that changed the trajectory of my professional career.
