This is my go-to when I want something nostalgic, simple, and cute! Save the recipe below! Confetti Sheet Cake Ingredients
Cake:
• ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temp
• 1½ cups granulated sugar
• 3 large eggs, room temp
• 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
• 2½ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ¾ cup milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ cup rainbow sprinkles Buttercream:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
• 3–4 cups powdered sugar
• 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Pinch of salt
• Sprinkles, for decorating Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 pan. 2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. 4. Add eggs to the butter mixture one at a time, mixing well after each. 5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, then mix in vanilla. 6. Gently fold in sprinkles. 7. Pour batter into pan and bake 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely. 8. Beat butter for buttercream, then add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth and fluffy. 9. It’s my birthday today 🥰 sooo I made myself the most celebratory cake I could think of: double funfetti cake with a little chocolate ganache thrown in the mix for good measure 🥳⁣ ⁣ Fun fact: those sprinkley balls on top were made from my funfetti cake scraps (the leftovers after leveling the cake layers)! I mixed the crumbled up cake with a little buttercream, rolled it into balls, coated them with rainbow sprinkles, and chilled until firm.
