Ferries are boats that carry people, cars, and goods across water. They are used where there are no bridges or tunnels, like between islands or across wide rivers. When a ferry reaches the dock, it is tied securely so it does not move. Then a ramp is lowered from the ferry to the shore. The cars start their engines when the crew gives the signal. They drive off the ferry slowly, one line at a time, while workers guide them safely. After all the cars and people leave, the ramp is lifted again. The ferry then gets ready to take on new passengers for the next trip.

The ferry ride home this afternoon was GORGEOUS! The video even has a brief dolphin appearance. The water was like liquid silver in some directions. ❤️
