My recent Instagram audit called me out…⁣ ⁣ Turns out I was confusing the algorithm. 🫤⁣ ⁣ Some days I would post 3x/day, then I wouldn’t post again for several days.⁣ ⁣ From a growth perspective, that sends mixed signals. - especially when you have a new account! ⁣ 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆.⁣ ⁣ When your posting rhythm constantly changes, the algorithm struggles to understand when and how to distribute your content.⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗼 𝗜’𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆.⁣ ⁣ From now on I’m committing to a clear system:⁣ ⁣ • 1 Reel per day (for discovery)⁣ • 1 Carousel per day (for value + saves)⁣ • 1 Story per day (for connection)⁣ ⁣ Here are a few simple things that can help the algorithm understand your content better:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ 𝗕𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴⁣ IG learns from patterns. Consistency trains the algorithm to expect your content.⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀⁣ Before uploading, rename your file using keywords related to your content (example: instagramgrowth.mp4). IG reads file data - use it to your advantage.⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻⁣ This helps the algorithm understand, categorize, and recommend your content within your niche.⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗢𝗡 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀⁣ Go to Settings → Media Quality → Turn on “Upload at highest quality.” Instagram is less likely to push blurry content.⁣ ⁣ 5️⃣ 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 “𝗦𝗻𝗼𝗼𝘇𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀” 𝗢𝗙𝗙⁣ Go to Settings → Content Preferences → Toggle “Snooze Suggested Posts in Feed” OFF.
