Welcome to this little gem on the East Coast of Canada: Cape Breton Island! 💙🌊 This was our third time on the island! First in summer, then in fall, and now… why not winter? ❄️ We keep coming back here because we fell in love with Cape Breton the very first time we visited, and there’s always more to explore. We knew winter would be beautiful here, but it completely exceeded our expectations. There are so many things to do during the colder months, and we spent an incredible week experiencing a few activities the island has to offer. 🇨🇦 4 day itinerary to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada . Cape Breton national park is one of Nova Scotia’s most enchanting places where mountains meet the sea. This island is rugged wilderness on the Atlantic coast of North America with world famous Cabol trail. . Itinerary: Day 1: 1. Drive from Halifax to Mabou, a nearly 4-hour journey. 2. Visit Mabou for a whisky tasting tour at The Glenora Inn and Distillery, a place rich in Scottish heritage near the highlands. 3. Experience local food and culture at the Red Shoe pub. 4. Visit West Mabou Beach Provincial Park and stroll along the sandy shores or go for a swim. 5. Drive to Inverness and stay overnight. Day 2: 1. Visit Inverness Sandy Beach for sunbathing, swimming, or a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. 2. Explore Cabot Links Golf Course, one of the top-ranked golf courses in Canada, offering stunning ocean views. 3. Drive to Chéticamp and embark on a sunset hike at Skyline Trail. 4. Return to Chéticamp and stay overnight. Day 3: 1. Check out from Chéticamp and drive through the Cabot Trail (a park pass is required). 2. The Cabot Trail is a scenic highway loop on Cape Breton Island with breathtaking spots throughout the drive; spend ample time on this highway. It might take about a 5 hour drive on the Cabot trail. 3. Dine in Neil’s Harbour on the way. 4. Stop by Ingonish and stay overnight. Day 4: 1. Visit Ingonish Beach and Ingonish Harbour to spot different types of whales, depending on the season. 2. Drive back to Halifax. . ✌️ My Happy Place 👌 . Il est toujours bon de passer du temps au Cap Ferret l’hiver ! Le temps s’arrête, moins de monde et des paysages aux lumières différentes … . C’est sûrement une des meilleures périodes pour se balader tranquillement en famille, aller dîner à l’Escale sans faire la queue, courir dans les 44h sans croiser une voiture, marcher sur des plages quasiment désertes… . Bref, l’hiver permet de passer du bon temps car la presqu’île serait pas loin de retrouver son côté sauvage d’autrefois ! . En tout cas, avec le temps, c’est la période que je préfère. .
