I formatted my C: drive, had password troubles, and migrated from Capacities back to Obsidian. Crazy month! Here's my #CoPilot chats about migrating. I wanted to connect local AI to Obsidian—Capacities doesn't allow this. 🗂️ Dragging Folders into Obsidian ✅ What Works Drag folders directly into your vault Obsidian recognizes .md files immediately Folder structure preserved, links remain functional ⚠️ Watch Out Non-Markdown files (.json, .png, .pdf) import but won't render as notes Internal links might need format changes ([[Note Title]] vs [[note-title]]) Tags/metadata may not transfer unless in YAML frontmatter 🛠️ Tips Test in temporary vault first Use Graph View to explore connections Enable plugins: Dataview, Tag Wrangler, Templater Dragging Capadonkey Into Obsidian [Bonus section - got hilarious halfway through typing!] Asked CoPilot for cartoon: cowgirl with rope dragging stubborn "Capadonkey" (Capacities logo with donkey ears/hooves) toward Obsidian logo. Wanted DAZ-style render with desert scene and Windows icon in sky. CoPilot created base image but missed Capacities logo and had spelling errors. I replaced background with my VUE 2024 creation, added highlights and facial features in Canva. Healing our wounding from the past is important, but we also want to make sure that we aren’t ruminating on our past. Sometimes there can be a tendency in therapy to focus strongly on the bad things that happened in the past. And, if those things that happened back then are causing distress now, then yes ABSOLUTELY let’s take a look at them - that’s where the healing is! But the healing also comes from taking a look at the past from the adult consciousness of the here-and-now of the PRESENT. We want to be careful not to get “stuck” in a place where we wish things had been different. The healing happens when the adult version of us right now can see that what happened wasn’t okay, and can feel the sadness and anger that was healthy but not able to be felt at that time. This creates deeper SELF-CONNECTION and internal organization. This is a part of what gives us a greater capacity to be present in the NOW! What are your thoughts? We all have different capacities….we’re not supposed to be the same. Yes, it’s good to help ourselves out of our comfort zones, yes it’s good to push ourselves sometimes …have goals ….work at things we need to work on….
