Uber Eats launched a self-driving robot delivery fleet Tuesday morning in Philadelphia. The program is in partnership with Avride, an autonomous vehicle and delivery robot company. Food delivery in Philadelphia is getting a high-tech upgrade. Autonomous technology company Avride has launched the city’s first robot delivery service in partnership with Uber and its Uber Eats platform. Beginning this week, some customers ordering meals in Center City may have their food delivered by a small autonomous robot instead of a person.
