Today, we mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk, he was a voice that stirred debate, championed conviction, and rallied the youth to believe they mattered. At just 31, he was taken from us in a senseless act of violence while speaking at Utah Valley University as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” Charlie helped build a movement: founding Turning Point USA in 2012, he inspired thousands of young people across campuses to engage in civic dialogue, even with those they disagreed with. He used his platform, his debates, his books, and his podcast not just to spread conservative values, but to argue for free speech, limited government, and the importance of each individual’s voice. He leaves behind grieving loved ones, but also a legacy that challenges us to carry forward what he believed in: courage, conviction, and the willingness to lean into difference. “You are so much more than a number. Your grades don’t define you” - These words were how the ACS Junior school principal closed her speech this morning. I’m truly moved to see that the hopes of our little campaign @lifebeyondgrades 6 years ago have taken deep root. It seemed impossible back then, and today, somehow, it feels like we’re on the brink of true change. If your child is disappointed, hold them close. Their mental health and self confidence matters so much more than a grade. They have to believe they still have a future, bright with possibility. I don’t know what the vibe was like in other schools this PSLE results day, but in ACS, there was joy and disappointment, but encouragement and hugs all around. I didn’t see a single scolding parent or fearful child, and this gave me such great hope - that perhaps, finally, the change is here. Not everywhere yet. There are always thought leaders and early adopters who shift first. But I can see that change is definitely here. The best is yet to be 💚
