Spare Change: Corporate Charity on the Backs of Consumers Daily Video 2/18/26 Corporations really got us with this one, didn’t they? Rounding up fifteen or fifty cents doesn’t harm us in the slightest, but the aggregate total can do a lot for those in need. Which is good. Great, even. But, as said, the corporation isn’t doing anything because of any inherent goodness, they’re doing it out of greed. Greed that they then keep in house. As said: corporate bonuses, stock buybacks. I saw a great post recently that said: if they can convert empty warehouses into holding centers for immigrants, it means they could have always converted them into community centers, but chose not to. It’s not an apples-to-apples comparison, but it’s kissing cousins. Point is, there’s always money for what’s important. And corporations, and our current government, don’t seem to find helping those in need important. #Charity #giving #givingback #information #truth
