Over the past 20 years they’ve moved more than 1.5 million Jewish books, collecting tens of thousands each year and making them available for anyone who wants to learn. Yeshivas, shuls, and individuals come daily to take sefarim on an honor system, with people encouraged to leave a small donation to support the chesed. From a 1700s Hamburg machzor to tiny pre-war sefarim from Russia, these books carry generations of Jewish learning. If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him (Shemos 22:25).
