China launched a remote sensing satellite on Tuesday, Yaogan-47, into space.⁣ ⁣ The satellite was launched on top of a Long March-4B carrier rocket at 11:41 (Beijing Time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.⁣ It will be primarily used in national land surveys, urban planning, road network design, crop yield estimation, environmental management, and disaster prevention and mitigation.⁣ ⁣ The launch was the 614th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
