It offers greater flexibility in the mixing stage, and you can always use your favorite amp sim or physically re-amp the sounds to a guitar amp after the fact. New technique: “Chaotic Stereo” Casiotone CT-310 into Chroma Console (Sweeten, Cascade, and Squash) into Teac 2A, left channel Revox at 7.5 ips, right channel Teac at 3.75 ips then manipulating tape (RTM LPR 35 on both machines) by hand going back into the computer.
