I will never not use circular knitting needles again. Please excuse the double negative, but I needed to underscore the point - circular needles are where it's at. Why? Let me tell you ↓ > knit in the round to avoid seaming > experience less wrist strain as you can hold the work in your lap rather than lifting it up on two straight needles (the cord helps to distribute the weight of your knitting more evenly so less weight rests on each wrist) > accommodate large stitch counts for projects like sweaters, blankets, and shawls > don't lose stitches anymore when you pick up and put down your project, particularly mid-row when knitting flat > when in the round, you can avoid purl rows and knit faster For more tips about circular needles, head to the journal (link to the post in my profile) Project: Rosa Little by @along.avec.anna Yarn: @camelliafibercompany Rainbow Sprinkles DK Needles: circular Addi Turbos #knitting #knittingtips #practicalknittingtips #knittingneedles #circularknittingneedles #tiptuesday #knitdesigner

Circular needles are a game changer and being able to join in the round is the first step to getting started! Beanies, jumpers, cowls - there’s so many things you can do on circular needles … as well as knitting flat if you prefer! Would love to hear from you - are you camp straight needles or camp circular needles?

Casting On, part 2 When knitting in the round, which I recommend starting with, you’ll have an additional step to your cast on: joining in the round. When joining in the round, the MOST important thing to keep in mind is NOT twisting your cast on. You can ensure this by keeping the bases of all your stitches facing the inside of the loop, and then joining as shown. Once you’ve joined in the round, make sure to place a stitch marker on your needle to mark your BOR (beginning of round). Tomorrow we’ll talk about the knit stitch, and if you’re working in the round, you’ll be off and knitting in no time! #beginner #beginnerknitter #knit #knitting #howto #howtoknit #learn #learntoknit #knittersofinstagram

Mastering Gauge Changing & Re-Needling on Circular Knitting Machines When working with a large diameter circular knitting machine, changing the cylinder/dial gauge is essential for producing fabrics with different textures and qualities. Whether you’re switching from fine to thick yarns, or experimenting with new fiber types, a gauge change gives you the flexibility to adapt fabric appearance and structure—all on the same machine! Re-needling is where expertise truly shines. Every needle must be precisely placed in the cylinder and dial to ensure flawless fabric production. It’s a skilled process that ensures the machine runs smoothly without defects, bringing your fabric vision to life. By mastering gauge changes, you can utilise a wider range of yarn counts and create everything from lightweight, soft fabrics to thicker, textured materials. #TextileTech #CircularKnitting #GaugeChange #KnittingMachine #FabricInnovation #YarnTransformation #KnittingSkills #TextileEngineering #Needlework #FabricDesign #Knit #textiles #knitwear #hometextiles #sportswear #outerwear #apparel #monarch #technology #instadaily #instagood #instapost #instagram

Hey hey, my friends! Have you ever tried knitting sleeves, socks, and mitts on two circular needles? It’s my favorite method for sleeves especially! I love how easy it is to keep from laddering, and for me, this method is so much less fiddly than magic loop! You can use any length of circular needle, even though here I’ve shown it on two short circs. I hope you’ll try it and let me know what you think! 🌟 . I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, wherever you are 🌟 May the new week be filled with kindness, friendship, and fibery goodies 🧶🌈♥️ . . . #KnitLove #knittingteacher #knittips #knittingtips #knittersofinstagram #knittersoftheworld #knitstagram #knitallthethings #knittersofIG #instaknit #alwaysknitting #knitting #knitdesigner #nevernotknitting #IGknitters #knit #knitknitknit #編み物 #tejer #tricot #strikk #strik #strick #stickat #romihill

Spinning yarn might look easy, but it’s a whole lot trickier than it seems! 🎢🧶 When I first started, I thought I could teach myself. Spoiler alert: I couldn’t! 😂 After many yarn disasters, I ended up learning from the sweetest old lady who showed me the ropes. From blending wool into beautiful gradients to hand-spinning each strand, it takes serious skill and practice. Now, each piece is full of unique textures and colors, ready to bring my portraits to life! ✨ #FiberArt #YarnSpinning #ArtJourney #BehindTheScenes #needlepoint #fiberart
