Packet Tracer is a network simulation tool. That means it mimics the behavior of IOS devices, but it doesn’t actually run real Cisco IOS code. ✅ Great for CCNA-level practice ✅ Includes routers, switches, PCs, IoT devices ✅ Supports basic CLI and routing protocols ✅ Includes guided labs and scenario-based learning ❌ No access to full command sets or advanced features ❌ Doesn’t support BGP, DMVPN, or full L3 switching Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) is a network emulator.
