Claude just got video editing superpowers. Remotion is now a Claude Code skill — meaning you can generate, edit, and render professional videos entirely through conversation. Why this matters: Video editing has always been the bottleneck. Hours in Premiere or Final Cut just to cut clips, add text, sync audio. Now Claude can write React-based video code that renders frame-perfect content on command. Use cases that actually hit: → Batch create social clips from a single script → Auto-generate explainer videos with dynamic text overlays → Build templated content for brand deals at scale → Prototype video ads without touching a timeline → Create data visualizations that move Why this changes film and editing forever: The skill gap between “idea” and “finished video” just collapsed. You don’t need to learn keyframes, transitions, or export settings. You describe what you want, Claude writes the Remotion code, and it renders. Directors can iterate on cuts through conversation. Creators can produce volume without sacrificing quality. Post-production becomes a prompt away. How to get it: Install Claude Code, add the Remotion skill from the skills directory, and start prompting. The era of AI motion graphics is here. And this is still just the first generation. So the way this works is through an app called Claude Code and a separate app called Remotion that you install on your computer. With these two installed, you can use Claude Code to create animated videos with prompts. I’m going to show the exact prompt I used and how I made this animation in the next video. 👌 Quick safety note: --dangerously-skip-permissions means Claude runs commands without asking you first. It’s faster, but you lose control over what gets executed. If you want full control and visibility, don’t use it. Remotion + Claude are changing how video production workflows are built.
