WHAT YOU WILL NEED: A mild soap (like a dish soap or Castile soap) is added to a bowl of warm water until it forms suds. A clean cloth, whichever kind you already use to clean with A non-abrasive sponge A degreaser safe for cabinets (optional for those tougher areas) HERE’S HOW YOU WILL DO IT: 1. Test a small area first, like the inside of a lower cabinet, to ensure the cleaner is safe for the surface. 2. START with the cabinets that are highly used FIRST. We are not looking to wipe down every single cabinet here because that would take a lot more time. Pick the few YOU feel need it most. 3. Take a cloth and pick up the suds from the water to help you clean and wipe down the area on the cabinet we tend to touch the most, like the handle & area surrounding. We’re not looking to wipe down the entire cabinet today. 4. Be mindful not to get any water into the detailing of the cabinet. 5. Use the sponge if needed and take the other dry cloth to wipe up any excess moisture, ensuring the cabinet is dry. KEEP IT MAINTAINED: Prevention is KEY when keeping cabinets clean. During your after-dinner cleanup, make it a habit to do a quick, and I mean QUICK spot check of the cabinets that seem to have accumulated grime, and if you see something, take a moment to wipe it up! Grease builds up quickly so tending to it more often will save us time later - letting it harden up will be very hard to get off. Aim for the wipe down like we did today monthly. BUT – if you maintain like mentioned above, you can maybe stretch that out over a few months! . . .

If you’re in a season where you’re cleaning constantly — wiping counters, drying sinks, fighting streaks — a simple kitchen squeegee will save you time and paper towels instantly. One swipe. Dry counters. Done. I added a new link in my bio so you can grab the exact kitchen squeegee I use. Save these 5 kitchen cleaning hacks for your next kitchen reset 🧼✨ 1️⃣ Cooktop Sprinkle baking soda directly onto half a lemon, then scrub. The natural acidity helps lift stubborn stains, grease, and burnt-on spills without harsh chemicals. 2️⃣ Microwave Add 1 cup water, ½ cup vinegar, and two squeezes of lemon juice to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 2 minutes, then let it sit (door closed) for 5 minutes so the steam can loosen grease and remove lingering odours before wiping clean. 3️⃣ Air Fryer Fill your air fryer drawers with boiling water and a squeeze of dish soap. Let soak for 10–15 minutes to lift baked-on grease and food residue, no hard scrubbing needed. 4️⃣ Rangehood Filters Remove filters and soak them in warm soapy water for 10–15 minutes. Gently scrub with a non-abrasive brush to remove built-up grease, then rinse and air dry before reinstalling. 5️⃣ Dishwasher Take out racks and removable parts and soak in warm, soapy water. Wipe down the interior using a 1:1 vinegar + warm water solution, then run an empty hot cycle to finish the deep clean.

I clean to think. the kitchen goes first. always. once the counter is clear, everything else feels possible. the powder that lives next to my sink and why I use it every morning it’s @barkeepersfriend…the classic powder one..and here’s what most people don’t know: the active ingredient is oxalic acid. it’s actually found naturally in plants like rhubarb and spinach. it works by breaking the molecular bonds of hard water stains, rust, and mineral buildup on the metal. that’s why your sink actually shines after…not just looks wiped down. one thing to know: don’t leave it on longer than a minute. wet your sponge first, scrub immediately, rinse. it’s strong enough to etch if you walk away from it. I have a stainless steel sink and nothing else gets it this clean. $2 a can and it lasts forever. save this if you’ve been using the wrong cleaner on your sink. #cleanwithme #kitchenreset #morningroutine

If your “clean” dishes still smell off or come out with little bits stuck on them, this is the first place I’d check… your dishwasher filter. 😳🤢 It is one of the most forgotten spots in the kitchen and it quietly collects everything, food scraps, grease, gunk, even little bits of glass sometimes. I try to clean ours every 2 weeks or at least once a month. And to be honest, I almost always end up cleaning my friends’ filters too when I visit 😂 (This video was brought to you from doing just that for a friend, I love you girl 😂) Cleaning is part of my love language, so consider this me doing the same for you. Quick how to: 1. Pull out the bottom rack. 2. Twist and lift out the filter (most just turn and pop right out). 3. Rinse it well in hot, soapy water and scrub any mesh parts. 4. Wipe the area under the filter before you put it back in. 5. Put the filter back, lock it in place, and run a hot cycle. It takes just a few minutes and can make a huge difference in how clean and fresh your dishes and dishwasher smell.
