VIOLET FOOD COLORING. 👌🏼 Here’s the why behind the magic ✨ Buttercream naturally has a yellow tint because of the butter’s fat and beta-carotene pigments. On the color wheel, yellow and violet sit opposite each other, which means they’re complementary colors. When you add a small amount of violet food coloring, it visually neutralizes the yellow tones instead of adding a new color. Your eye blends the two together, and the result reads as a much cleaner, brighter white. The key is restraint—too much violet and your buttercream will start to look gray or lavender. But just a drop or two works on a microscopic level, balancing the warmth in the butter without changing the flavor or texture at all. Over all a very fun theme to work on 🌼

I hear people say all the time , “ red icing is the worst” & “ it tastes like medicine” 💊 😭😂 While this may be true in some cases , it doesn’t HAVE to be. Most people just pour red dye in until they get the icing dark enough & THATS where the problem lies within the taste 😩 Here are two methods I use to prevent that‼️ 1) Immersion blender: I use my hand held immersion blender to mix color in my buttercream for about 1 minute . . The immersion blender helps break down the gel coloring making it distribute evenly through out the buttercream ! You end up with a smooth consistency and vibrant color ! 2) Microwave Method : Simply add in your desired color to your buttercream , give it a mix & microwave it for about 20 seconds. It’ll melt YES but it’ll come out ALOT darker & add more color if needed. You’ll have to let it set back up in the fridge for about 10 minutes but it’s sooo worth it.
