Why we’ve deleted our social scrolling apps, hopefully indefinitely. Hopefully we find that we don’t need to get them back. The comment section is like this all the time. Even threats in our DMs. Everytime we pick up the phone and check our socials, it’s like this. Multiple times a day. Every day. It does have an impact. Every time you go to open an app, you get this horrible sick feeling about what you’re about to read, constantly deleting and blocking. Reading and absorbing what they say. It consumes you. Not a nice headspace to be in. Anyone else going through it, stepping away from actively being on socials and only attending to it passively, has been refreshing.
