Welcome to day 83 of #kilometrecrochet 🚐 🧶 where I crochet one row everyday to represent how many kilometres we drive in a day. Today we spent a lot of the day in Conche! We finally got to go to the interpretation center and it was pretty neat in there. We learned a lot about cod. How the French and English came for the summer to fish cod and salt and dry them. They talked soooo much about salted cod that I am now very curious as to the taste. We then saw the tapestry and that was beautiful! To think it was only made recently in 2006! There was a sign forbidding filming of the tapestry so we don’t have video of that. But you can Google the French shore tapestry for an idea. The was one piece that was my favourite. It was a mouse pulling a cat pulling a dog pulling a woman pulling a man pulling a giant turnip. I thought that was so cute. Then we ended our night at the arches provincial park with the view of the arches through our back door.
