Knowing your connection style helps you lean into what actually woods for you. And you may be more than one! #lifecoach #connection #connectionmatters #kindness #love

Which type of connection do you need more of right now: 💞 Intimate? 🫂 Social? 💫 Collective? I was so grateful when I first learned about this research. At the time, I had a partner and a small group of very close friends — so I couldn’t understand why sometimes, I still felt quite lonely. “You should just be grateful,” I would say to myself. “You have so much more connection than so many people in this world.” But I was missing COLLECTIVE connection: a broader sense of belonging in a community of people who shared my values and ideals. Collective connection makes us feel more *a part* of this broad, expansive world. 📚 We read Vivek Murthy’s “Together” in my Hustle to Heart Bookclub: my intimate, monthly, bookclub of people daring to trade individualistic success-chasing for more community, meaning, and vitality. 📚 It’s a blast, and we’re now enrolling for the January cohort. Most people only reach out when they need something. That’s why their network never grows. Raoul Pal explains that real networking is about giving before you ask, helping people, sharing insights, and creating value first. Because when you give consistently, opportunities naturally start coming your way. Build connections the right way, not the desperate way. Help is an essential part of human connection. Can you remember a time when someone helped you - or when you helped someone else - and you felt particularly close and connected?

Asking for help can feel harder than just doing it all yourself. Not because you don’t need it. But because needing something can feel unfamiliar… or even unsafe. Especially if you’ve been the one who handles everything or you’re going through something big and don’t even know where to start. So you stay in the role you know. Figure it out. Push through. Carry more than you need to. But asking for help isn’t just a mindset shift. It’s a body shift. And when it starts to feel safer to need something, that’s when things begin to change.

Most obstacles in life can be boiled down to a communication issue - between you and a co-worker, between spouses, friends, parents and siblings etc. If you’re finding you always butt heads with some go through these 3 questions. 1. Can you help me understand your perspective better? 2. How can I communicate better with you, how can I add value? 3. How can we find common ground? Make them your own, the key is not just to check off 3 more communication “to-do’s” but to actually connect and solve the issues, showing value to the person along the way. #communication #teambuilding #howtocommunicate #commicationtips #godlyrelationships #healthyrelationships #healthycommunication

We often think connection is something we have to figure out… something we need to say, do, or get right. But real connection doesn’t come from trying. It comes from being present. From listening without preparing your next answer. From allowing yourself to feel the other person, not analyze them. Connection happens when you drop the need to impress… and simply arrive. That’s where everything begins. What helps you feel truly connected to someone? #connection #presence #selfawareness #mindfulness #relationships #innerpeace #spiritualgrowth

I used to overcomplicate every conversation because I thought I had to be a master interviewer lol. It finally hit me that most people just want permission to keep talking. Now I just say “tell me more” whenever a friend shares something real. It’s wild how quickly a simple chat turns into a genuine connection when you actually listen lmao. If you want the exact Notion dashboard I use to build and maintain friendships, comment HUMAN and I’ll send it your way.
