❌ Don’t say, “I think...” every single time. Here are 5 more sophisticated alternatives! “In my view…” “From my perspective…” “It seems to me that…” “I would argue that…” “My observation is that…” In the comments, write 1 sentence using one of these alternatives.

CANT EXPECT CLARITY — from someone who avoids accountability. Sometimes the most self respecting thing to do is to stop asking for clarity from someone who benefits from your confusion. ❣️

This is not just a question… it’s a reality check.” #realtalk #powerfulconversations #thinkbig

Critical thinking is not about having stronger opinions. It is about asking better questions. The real difference is between passively absorbing ideas and actively interrogating them. What is missing? What assumptions are hidden? Does the evidence actually support the conclusion? That is how you stop being persuaded by polish and start thinking clearly for yourself. The quality of your thinking is directly linked to the quality of your questions. Critical questioning (thanks Socrates) is a powerful technique that can help you develop your analytical skills and broaden your perspectives. As Socrates famously said, “I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.” Through the art of questioning, we can stimulate our curiosity and challenge our assumptions to arrive at more informed conclusions. Here are 3 types of Questions: 1️⃣ CLARIFICATION QUESTIONS These seek to ensure that everyone involved in a conversation is on the same page. For example: –“What do you mean by X?” –“Can you give me an example?” 2️⃣ REASON & EVIDENCE QUESTIONS These are designed to dig deeper into someone’s thought process and the evidence they’re using to support their claims. Examples: –“What led you to that perspective?” –“What other information might we need to consider?” 3️⃣ IMPLICATION QUESTIONS These examine the potential consequences of certain actions or decisions, helping us think more holistically about complex problems and identify possible unintended consequences. Examples: –“What effect would that have if that happened?” –“What’s an alternative solution we could consider?” So don’t settle for surface-level conversations - challenge yourself and others to think more deeply by asking curious critical questions. Quinlan Walther is known for her thoughtful and deeply reflective perspective on emotional growth and self-awareness. She speaks about the quiet shift that happens when you stop needing to be understood by everyone and start understanding yourself instead. Her message highlights a hard truth: people can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves. And that means, some will never fully understand you - not because of who you are, but because of where they are. Trying to force understanding often leads to frustration, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion. Her perspective is clear: stop seeking depth from those who haven’t explored their own. Accept it, and move with peace. Follow @kindmotiv for more Speaker : @quinlanwalther Video : @jayshettypodcast #understandings #hardtruth #perspective #acceptance #truth
