This looks faster and less painful... The birth control implant — also called nexplanon — is one of the most effective and convenient ways to prevent pregnancy.

This is NOT medical advice ‼️ This is simply me talking about my own experience with birth control. The pills gave me too many side effects. Nexplanon (aka the implant) have me horrible cystic acne. I found out about Nuvaring and it made complete sense to me. Then it nearly killed me - twice. Of course, I couldn’t do anything about it legally - the potential side effect is in the fine print (because of course it is). I can never take hormones again. I now have Paragard, the copper IUD and the only form of long-term, non-hormonal birth control available. It is effective at preventing pregnancy for 10-12 years. #womenshealth #womenshealthmatters #womenshealthcare #womenshealthandwellness #womenshealthadvocate #birthcontrolproblems #birthcontrolsideeffects #birthcontrolishealthcare #nexplanon #nexplanonimplant #nuvaring #paragard #paragardiud #iud #contraception #contraceptives #birthcontrolpills #mirena #mirenaiud #kyleena

The deets 👇🏼 Heres why I never recommend natural cycles for preventing pregnancy. 1. it predicts fertility windows BIG RED FLAG for any app. It uses an algorithm to predict your fertile days rather than teaching you to identify them in real time. The symptothermal method trains you to read your own cervical mucus and temps to confirm ovulation - much more accurate than predictions. 2. doesn't teach body literacy you're relying on the apps algorithm not your own knowledge. With the symptothermal method you gain skills you'll have for life not just one app. 3. Temperatures only natural cycles uses BBT data which can be effected by sleep, illness, alcohol, travel etc. The symptothermal method uses multiple cross checks such as cervical mucus, temp, LH tests, and cervical position for greater reliability. 4. FDA approved doenst mean risk free NC is approved as birth control but that doenst guarantee effectiveness to a well learned symptothermal method. It really has a higher risk of surprise pregnancy, false sense of security, can mislead beginners, data privacy concerns, no adaptability for health issues like irregular cycles, PCOS, postpartum shifts, thyroid issues etc, and dependency on the apps algorithm- if you stop paying you lose access to your fertility knowledge. The tracking thermometer and app I recommend is tempdrop. You don't have predictions, you don't have to wake up at the same time every day, filters disturbances, app doenst require premium to track BBT, and takes into consideration all biomarkers not just BBT. Great for preventing, trying to conceive and for postpartum! Comment "TEMP" to an additional 15% off the sale that starts 9/25 which makes your savings 30% off!

Contraception is a way to prevent pregnancy by controlling when and if sperm can reach an egg. It includes different methods that help people plan their reproductive lives, depending on their needs and health. Contraception allows individuals and couples to decide when they are ready to have children, rather than leaving it to chance. It’s important because it supports physical, emotional, and financial well-being. Proper contraception helps protect women’s health, allows time for the body to recover between pregnancies, and helps people make responsible choices about their future. It also plays a role in reducing stress, supporting family planning, and improving overall quality of life. #health #healthy #viral

Nexplanon is a small, flexible birth control implant that goes under the skin of your upper arm. It releases hormones to prevent pregnancy. ☝️Potential side effects may include irregular bleeding, headache, weight changes, and mood swings.

This is always a controversial topic, but it needed to be said :) ad If you’re wanting a hormone-free option to prevent pregnancy and currently relying on a period tracking app, it could be worth looking into the @naturalcycles app as a researched, regulated digital contraceptive alternative. Any decisions regarding contraception should be made after speaking to your own healthcare professional. I chose Natural Cycles 4 years ago because it’s something that works for me, but it’s important to note that everyone’s body is different and this is just one option. 💗
