How to Do Plank Shoulder Taps: 1️⃣ Start in a high plank position—hands directly under your shoulders, core engaged, and feet hip-width apart (wider stance for more stability, narrower for more challenge). 2️⃣ Keeping your hips and torso as stable as possible, lift one hand and tap the opposite shoulder. 3️⃣ Place your hand back down and repeat on the other side. 4️⃣ Continue alternating for the desired number of reps or time. SHOULDER TAPS ❌ I'm sorry to say but I see so many people doing these wrong - and if you've not been told how to do them properly, then I don't blame you. Shoulder taps done properly are VERY tough - They will have you SHAKING in seconds. So, what should you be aiming for when performing shoulder taps? - Core TIGHT and SOLID - Hips to stay pointing the floor - Try to keep your body still as possible - Do not sway from side to side - Back and neck in a straight line - Every part of your body is ENGAGED! Guys, as always, start with regressed options until you nail the form before moving upward. You'll actually develop strength way better, rather than attempting the full movement incorrectly, and potentially resulting in an injury. To practice shoulder taps, start on your knees - and once you master the art of not swinging around like a wild wo/man, then progress into your full plank. You should also be practicing planks to develop strength in your core and shoulders before progressing to these bad boys. Remember, it's not always about the amount of reps we do - but the quality in which we perform them in.
