PACKING 🧳 of course! Here is the ULTIMATE GUIDE 🌈 for con-proof cosplay packing! 1️⃣ COSPLAY 👗 Lay everything out like a glorious cosplay fashion show ✨ Don’t forget those sneaky extras like jewelry 💍, belts 🥋, and scarves 🧣. For EXTRA DELICATE 🪶 pieces, pack them in garment bags or use WRINKLE RELEASE SPRAY for a stress-free arrival. 2️⃣ SHOES! 👠 Shoes matter, but seriously, don’t let sky-high heels turn your con into a foot 🦶 torture chamber. Pack comfy flats 🥿 for walking around and bust out the hero footwear for photos 📸. Speaking of photos, pack a travel steamer ♨️ for those last-minute wrinkles (lifesaver!). 3️⃣ PROPS! If your cosplay makeup never lasts more than a few hours, here’s why 🥲 Read these tips and tricks to fix it ⬇️ 🥺 ❌ Skipping primer & setting spray - WRONG ✔️ Always lock your base in. Primer is non-negotiable. I recommend MAC Fix+ Stay Over or NYX Matte Finish / Dewy Finish Setting Spray. ✨ Pro tip: spray between layers, not just at the end ✨ ❌ Mixing water-based & silicone-based products - WRONG ✔️ Especially primer + foundation. If the bases don’t match, your makeup will peel off fast. ❌ Fixing makeup with liquid products at the con - WRONG ✔️ Once your base is set, no liquids. Use powder foundation only for touch-ups. ❌ Powdering before controlling oil - WRONG ✔️ Oily skin? Pat your skin with blotting paper first, then apply powder. ❌ Using too much product at once - WRONG ✔️ Thin layers last longer than thick ones and avoid cakey effect. 💬 Have questions or want me to explain one step better? 1. you don’t HAVE to cosplay a certain way. you don’t need 100 different wigs, you don’t need £200 dokidoki costumes, you can start with the clothes you own and characters with the same hair colour as you! that’s how i started and it was great fun 2. your posts won’t get views straight away, so don’t expect it. also don’t tie your worth or your cosplay ability to your following! i’ve seen so many amazing cosplayers with very small social media presence. some people never go viral and that’s ok!! this is a hobby, so have fun 3. experiment with different styles!! overaccessorised, accurate, gender bending, whatever makes you happy. homemade, closet cosplay, bought cosplay, whatever you’re able to do. fun makeup, basic makeup, super stylised, it’s up to you!! get creative!! 4. be nice to other cosplayers. i made so many friends through this hobby by interacting with my mutuals and complimenting cosplayers at cons!! being nice gets you a long way and starting drama will only get you a bad rep. 5. you don’t need 100 different cosplays!!!! similar to the first point, but you don’t NEED to have multiple cosplays. this hobby turns into overconsumption very quickly and isn’t good for the environment. find ways to reuse wigs and costumes, wear each cosplay as many times with you can, and when you want a new one, look in your closet or on second hand websites first!!! i love using vinted for cosplays. there are also some cons (like megacon) with stash swap events! where you can bring cosplays and materials you no longer want and swap them with other things like cosplays, wigs, fabric, etc! it’s so good!!! thank you for reading <333 #cosplay #forsakencosplay #robloxcosplay #azurecosplay
