However, we are bringing them back in South Florida. 🩷💙This is when the little ladies dress in their princess style dresses, gloves, stocking, her beautiful hairstyle, and gorgeous smile. The gentlemen are dressed in a black suit matching bowtie and pocket square, and gorgeous smile, looking dapper and elegant. Some dads will fill the gap to escort his little princess. 🩷💙They will showcase a few of the social skills and life skills they have learned throughout the school year, while friends and family cheer them on. The New York Baroque Dance Company brought the story of African American composer Francis Johnson to @lehmancuny's @lehmancenter. @juliasbengtsson, our 2024-25 Resident presented Johnson’s "New Cotillions" through Congo minuets, grand marches, gallops, waltzes, and cotillions. At Palais Rohan @les_soirees_amusantes had the pleasure of showing some French #cotillions to the audience. Some of them published in the 1760 came with texts that could be sung accompanying the dancers. This #contredanse is called Les Quatre Veuves, The Four Widows. Today, @les_soirees_amusantes performed French cotillions at #schlosswildegg @museumaargau It has now been ten years that we have been doing this type animations. We can be proud of having evolved so much within 10 years, creating clothings and learning dances with the will of approaching 18th century accuracy. We can still do better, of course. But so much devotion to the 18th century heritage of every member is inspiring to all of us, encouraging everyone to improve further.
