After building or getting a new PC, it is recommended to run a stress test to make sure everything is running smoothly. Stress testing your PC is not an urgent need unless you suspect some are your parts might be faulty or are overclocking. Here is what I use: - FurMark (For my GPU) If your card or PSU can’t cope with the test, you’ll know in minutes. I usually set it to fullscreen and pick the highest resolution my monitor can provide. FurMark will usually present issues in less than 30 minutes. - CPU-Z (For my CPU) It pushes all the threads at 100%, perfect for verifying clock speeds, voltage and cooler performance. It is apparently recommended to be done for around 30 minutes to an hour to test overheating and creashes. - Hardware Monitor Plus (Verifying temps) reads sensors for temps, voltages, currents and fan RPMs so you can watch for spikes or issues. The only risk you face when stress testing your PC is if you allow it to run over your maximum temps for a long time. Next step is benchmarking? Is my GPU sagging?
