3 ways to curl with a straightener 1. One full turn & glide down to the floor for a loose curl 2. One full turn & glide horizontally out for a tight bouncy curl 3. One full turn & glide diagonally out for a more defined curl Which are you picking? #hairideas #hairstyles #curls #curling #chloeswiftstylist

I can’t believe some of these 🤣😭 like we’re in 2025 now please 🩷 in all seriousness, the ‘curl police’ do lots of damage as the misinformation can confuse lots of people - I try my best to ignore comments like some of these 🩷 also the hair oil is the Water Sign Hydrating Hair Oil from @amika and I loooooove it 💦 #curlyhair #curlyhairtips #3acurls #curlygirl #curlyhairroutine #curls #curly #curlscurlscurls #curlyhaircare #washday #curldefinition

here’s exactly how to do it👇✨ 1: make sure your hair is fully wet, not damp! if you try this technique on damp hair your hair will be less smooth and likely fail to roll around your fingers (and you’ll get so much more frizz) 2: if your hair needs the moisture, add a curl cream or leave-in before finger rolling. this will also make your hair smoother and therefore, easier to style - my favourite is the @imbuecurls conditioning spray 3: use your index and middle finger, guiding your fingers down the strand. then wrap your index finger beneath the hair strand and roll up to your roots (the video demo is much easier to understand - it’s very difficult to describe!) (a written down explanation of the roll: if you’re right handed like me, put the hair strand between your index and middle finger on your right hand and pull it until there’s slight tension. then place your left index finger behind the hair strand, closer to your face, and then use your right middle finger to wrap the hair strand in over itself and to begin the roll) 4: release your fingers gently from the curl clump, and then if you want more volume, scrunch the excess water from the clump afterward 💦 5: for extra hold and bounce, scrunch a gel of your choosing into the curl clumps. this will help provide long-lasting definition 🫶🏼 6: then air dry or diffuse your hair until dry (I diffuse on low heat, medium speed as it takes my hair AGES to air dry!) 🩷 remember that this technique takes practice and you may not get your desired results the first time you try it! but the results are so worth it! that’s all! If you have any questions then leave a comment ✨💌 I hope this helped 🫶🏼🥰 #curlyhair #curlyhairtips #3acurls #curlygirl #curlyhairroutine

3 ways to enhance your natural curl definition! 1. Ribbon curl technique - definitely my go-to and most used technique to achieve definition & volume! It creates larger defined curl clumps that can be separated for volume 2. Rake & Shake - the perfect technique to achieve separated but defined curls giving volume and definition for days 3. Finger rolling - the most tedious of the three but the results never fail! My go-to for my face framing pieces Which curl definition method is your favorite! #curldefinition #curlyhairtips #longcurlyhair #cabellorizado #naturallycurlyhair

In cheezon ka bhi dhyaan rakho👇🏻 1️⃣ Taking too much hair in one go → Curls won’t hold and look flat. 2️⃣ Wrong angle of the straightener → Makes curls uneven or bent instead of smooth. 3️⃣ Moving too fast or too slow → Too fast = curl won’t form, too slow = hair gets fried. 4️⃣ No heat protectant → Leads to frizz, damage, and curls not setting properly. 5️⃣ Heat setting mismatch → Too low = no curl, too high = damage. . . . #hairtipsindia #indianmakeupblogger #curlfail #hairhack #hairhacks #heatstyling #straigtnercurls #flatironcurls #curlingmistakes

Ribbon brushing gets me the perfect curl clumps!!✨ If I just rake in the product my hair becomes less defined and is more on the wavy side. The way you style your hair matters! #curlyhair #curlyhairhacks

STOP doing this technique to your curls 🚨📣 this reel highlights the difference between finger coiling and finger rolling for my curls✨ 👉 now of course, finger coiling will work for some people! but it’s a no go for me 🥲 this technique gives me wonkier curls than when I simply scrunch my hair 👎🚨 💡 finger coiling = wrapping your finger repeatedly around one hair strand and then releasing it 💡 finger rolling = using two fingers to roll the hair strand to your roots, and then releasing it A STEP-BY-STEP ON HOW TO FINGER ROLL (my fave technique for defining curls) 👇 📣 START by making sure your hair is soaking wet. not damp, I mean dripping wet 💦 if not I find my hair gets sooo tangly and makes finger rolling impossible 📣 I apply a cream and gel before finger rolling to help the curls clump together - today I paired the @curlsmith_official feather light protein cream with the @umbertogiannini curl jelly 📣 then run your fingers down and smooth the hair strand (for sectioning, I find that if my hair is fully wet then the hair strands naturally clump together, making it easy to separate them when styling) 📣 place your index finger beneath the hair strand and then, with your other hand, use your middle finger to place the hair under the index finger (I have a few tutorials on finger rolling - go to my guides to have a look 🫶🏼) 📣 then roll right up to your roots, gently releasing your fingers and unwinding the curl clump ✨ 🪞 use a mirror to focus on the back section 📣 optional: (though I always do it) apply a little more gel, scrunching it into the curl clumps to secure them and keep the definition during the drying process 📣 diffuse or air dry until COMPLETELY dry! (I always diffuse as it’s a lot quicker and gives me bouncier curls) then use your palms to scrunch out any gel cast that remains on your hair after the drying process if you love finger coiling then go you! but for me, it’s a hard pass 🤒🚨 the definition I get from finger rolling is unmatched🫶🏼 if you have any questions then feel free to leave a comment! finger rolling has honestly changed my curls and always gives me long lasting curl definition✨📣❣️

If you experience these curl problems ❌ try out this simplified curl routine! ✅ Products used: @curlcompany cream, gel + mousse If finger coiling/rolling or brush handle curling works for you, keep it. BUT if it’s giving you: 🚫definition on the sides only 🚫huge clumps that don’t seem to match your natural curl width 🚫roots being pulled down 🚫missed + frizzy sections at the back 🚫after separating ringlets dry with oil… they re-clump (very common) …this video is for YOU✅ My solution for you is going back to a simple routine that’s a little stripped back working with your natural curls: brushing through the cream for even coverage then applying your hold products through either raking, wide tooth combing and/or scrunching. 💌send to a curlfriend who needs curly hair help! 🫶 #curlyhair #curlygirl #curlyhairproblems

My hacks for VOLUME Vs DEFINITION ⬇️ for better curl definition ⬇️ - Bigger sections of hair at a time - Tight tension while passing brush - Brush for fat clumps - Soaking wet hair For better volume - Smaller sections of hair at a time - V Comb for thin clumps - No tension while passing brush else that comb will throw out styling products - Somewhere between damp & dripping wet hair I love curl definition (not like I have a choice with my tight curls) but I prefer volume over than definition
