Pambahay dresses, or dusters/dasters as my mom calls them, are dresses worn in the house. (Pambahay means "household" or "for the house" in Tagalog.) I remember my grandma wearing them quite often (my mom didn't, since she worked so much). Now that I live somewhere warm yearround, I fully understand why they're worn so much - so easy to throw on and keeps you cool! (Also, I gotta be honest, less clothes to wash since it is a dress 😅) For fun, I wanted to see if I could dress them up quick if I needed to run to the office or do some errands - of course my go-to are belts! My mom did say that the third one was the only one worth of being called a daster "kasi the others are too nice" 😆 @kim.grace.b @clarizeyale and @nicoleangelinesews definitely inspired me to make them!
