My biggest regret is.. NOT BUYING IT SOONER 🤪 Originally we had a double bed in this room and space was extremely limited! This daybed now allows us to utilise the space as a sofa when set up as a single and pulled out to a double when guests come to stay. It feels like everyone’s owned the @ikeausa Hemnes daybed at some point—it’s affordable, practical, and super versatile! Ours started out in my son’s nursery, but after he outgrew it, we gave it a second life in the family room 🐈 The all-white look felt a bit too stark for a cozy living space, so I had a custom slipcover made with a durable, textured fabric I found on Amazon. I love skirted sofas for their more transitional look—they bring a soft, relaxed feel that works so well here. Now it actually looks and feels like a real sofa! Thought I would show y’all how the daybed looks when it’s pushed in! I love how much space there is and it was really easy to do! Some things I’ve heard about this specific bed is it’s easier pushed in on non-carpet surfaces and to use other mattresses or a mattress topper on the IKEA mattresses because they’re comfier!
