One pattern. So many possibilities 👗✨ I made this dress at the end of last year and I still love it. It’s a beginner-friendly Merchant & Mills pattern, made in 100% cotton for that easy, breezy feel 🙌 Super enjoyable to sew, very wearable — and of course I added pockets (because… why wouldn’t you 🤪). 💡 What I’d tweak next time: I’ll lower the boat neckline by about two fingers for extra comfort around the neck — a small adjustment that makes a big difference. This is definitely a repeat-make pattern for me. 👉 Save this reel if you’re collecting sewing project ideas or looking for a beginner-friendly dress pattern to try next. Back to Basics: Day 1 debrief The best thing about basics is that I managed to make three patterns in one sewing day, all with fabric from my stash and each perfect in its own special way. 🧵@bygraciesteel Tata Twist hack Fabric: organic cotton jersey @myfabricscouk This is a very simple hack. I just created a new version of the front piece that doesn’t have any twist. And I used the construction method for the @elbe_textiles Weiland Tank to include a built in bralette that’s fully enclosed and neatly finished. I’ve already worn this so many times which is the sign of the perfect foundational piece. 🧵 @paradisepatterns Honeygirl Tee Size D Fabric is I think from @theremnantwarehouse (if anyone can figure out what it is, please tell me!) So far it feels like the perfect tee, no notes. Just not sure how/if to finish the sleeves? 🧵 @paradisepatterns Blomma Tank Size C Same fabric as above Again, can’t wait to make A LOT more of these. If I’m honest I think some of why I avoided making this pattern was worrying about the binding but Sana has created a method that makes it pretty foolproof. The only thing left from my TRUE BASICS set of patterns is the Franklin Tee by @thepatternline and I’ve been so excited about this pattern that I’ve overthought the fabric choice for far too long.
