That’s it — the final stage of framing for the future deck. Today I installed additional 2×6 joists for the floor. The old ones were still in good condition, but new is always better. Tomorrow we’re expecting the inspector for the inspection.

If you're still using tape on your decks or even going as far as trying to use zip tape or some kind of flashing tape on your deck, you are in for a treat later in life. The main staircase is complete — 9 steps, 8.5 ft wide. It looks stunning in person. Tomorrow I plan to finish the smaller stairs and start installing the cable rails. The black color paired with Trex Toasted Sand will look fantastic.
