Let’s continue the Tips & Tricks series ✨ Why isn’t your blanket the same size as my 45” with 30 loops? Because we ALL have different tension 🙌 Some of us pull tight, some of us knit loose — and that changes everything! The same 30 loops can turn out completely different sizes depending on YOUR tension. My biggest recommendation? Count and MEASURE your loops and finished blankets… then WRITE IT DOWN 📝 This way you’ll always know exactly how many loops to start with to get the size YOU want. This is a short and easy tutorial showing a little trick I love using for a cleaner, prettier braid edge ✨ When knitting across, I work every single loop as usual, but on the way back I skip that very first (final) loop and start knitting with the second one instead. This simple drop-stitch method creates a smoother braid look on the edge. How to cast-on a flexible & lose edge in knitting 🧶 Double needle cast on, or two-needle cast on, involves holding two knitting needles together as one while casting on stitches to create a loose, elastic, and flexible edge.
