What you’re seeing looks impossible but it’s just physics doing its job. In each clip, forces are carefully balanced. Tension, gravity, pressure, and friction cancel each other out, creating stability where your brain expects collapse. Nothing is floating or defying reality. The forces are simply arranged in a way we don’t usually notice. When tension pulls upward and gravity pulls downward with equal strength, objects appear to hang or stand unsupported. In fluids, pressure increases with depth, allowing liquid to push back and hold objects in place. With structures, weight is redirected through strings or frames, spreading the load instead of letting it fall. Physics doesn’t break the rules. Draw diagrams, link ideas together, add in worked examples. I prefer handwriting as I get less distracted than when I’m on my laptop. . 📺 Watch YT videos - this is a great way to visualise concepts, which is often needed in Science. It also is way way more fun than reading a textbook! My fave YT channels are Crash Course, Amoeba Sisters, Minute Physics. . 📝 Do Quizzes - science is all about application! The best way to learn how to apply your knowledge is by practice. . ⁉️ Be curious - don’t accept things at face value. Ask WHY; and be interested in learning WHY. It’s much easier to remember and so so much more satisfying when you dive deep into the science, and understand the logic behind why things happen, rather than just scratching the surface. Density is what determines whether something floats or sinks. Every liquid has a different density, which is the amount of mass packed into a certain volume. When an object is placed in a liquid, it will float if it is less dense than the liquid around it and sink if it is more dense. This is why the same object can behave differently in water, oil, or honey. Water has a moderate density, oil is lighter, and honey is much denser. The thicker the liquid, the greater the buoyant force it can exert on certain objects, changing how they move, float, or settle. It is a simple principle, but it explains everything from ships crossing oceans to the layers you see when different liquids are poured into the same container.
