“This is the kinda stuff that makes me love existence” is a top comment on this viral Instagram Reel made by stop-motion video artist Kristian (@kikikikikica). Followers of Kristian’s Instagram Channel get first looks at new edits and see alternate cuts, then the community votes via polls to choose what version of the videos will be posted to the grid. @kikikikikica says “DMs have become more important than emails for collaborations. I got the chance to work with many brands through Instagram.” “The most surprising aspect has been the emotional reactions - people expressing genuine gratitude and being moved by the content, which I never expected. There has been a video I deleted soon after uploading it because I wasn’t quite satisfied with it, it didn’t feel finished, but I received a message asking me why I deleted the video and them telling me how much and why they liked it, so just because of this I ended up re-uploading it.” What’s next for @kikikikikica? “Live streams, longer videos, scoring my own music based on the video’s structure, and incorporating other media like carousel posts, photography, and sculptures.”

In 2017, a JPEG file labeled IMG_01717.jpg appeared on a closed cryptography forum. It was a photo of a face but every viewer described it differently: One said it was a woman staring. Another said it was their childhood bedroom window. One claimed it looked like themself, only... wrong. What came next was weirder. 12 users on the thread reported instant nosebleeds within 2 minutes of viewing. One passed out. Another said their vision fractured like cracked glass. The file was deleted. Forum moderators said the metadata included no camera info only a string of hex code that, when decoded, read: RECOGNITION ERROR: YOU WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO SEE THIS. No one can agree on what it shows. But a user uploaded it again in 2021 on 4chan. The thread lasted 4 minutes. The image now shows up randomly in broken Google reverse image searches. One Reddit user posted it to r/creepy. The post was deleted and his account now posts only glitch emojis every 3 days. Some think it’s an experimental visual trigger developed by DARPA in 1994. Others think it’s just a file that sees you back. 📡 Follow @DeadChannelTV before the image finds you again. #DeadChannel #CursedImage #NosebleedJPEG #VisualTrigger #AnalogHorror #UnexplainedFiles #HauntedMedia #SignalError #YouWeren’tSupposedToSeeThis #FaceOfFear

CASE FILE 0041 : The Reddit Account that knew too much It started with a throwaway post on r/AskReddit. March 2019. A user named u/throwRA1978 asked a simple question: “What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen that you can’t explain?” Pretty normal. Until they replied to their own post. “I think I’m being followed,” they wrote. “I moved apartments. Changed my number. Deleted Facebook. But I still get voicemails… with static. And whispering.” Reddit users tried to help. Some said it sounded like schizophrenia. Others suggested tracking devices, or stalkers. Then the account posted again — this time to r/UnresolvedMysteries. A grainy photo of a handwritten letter, slid under their door: “We found you. Stop talking.” That post got removed within 10 minutes. Not by mods. By the user. They never posted again. The account still exists — but all comments and posts are wiped. Even the screenshots people took won’t load anymore. Reverse image searches of the letter turn up nothing. But here’s where it gets weird: Two other Reddit users who interacted with the post claimed they got locked out of their accounts within 24 hours. One said they received a Google login from an IP in Virginia. The other said their backup email was changed — with no recovery. Reddit has never commented. Some say it was an elaborate ARG. Others still think it was real. Either way — u/throwRA1978 vanished. And a warning nobody can prove was ever real.
