Once a splashin’ good time, now a hauntingly beautiful sight. 🇻🇳 💡 Thuy Tien Water Park is located in Huong Thuy town, Hue city, Vietnam. The water park opened in 2004 and closed in 2006 due to financial problems. Thuy Tien Water Park was designed and built by Ho Thuy Tien – one of the biggest investors in tourism in Hue at that time. @gokonrad + @deserted.places at Buzludzuh… I've "found" my way into my fair share of deserted and forbidden sites - but this Soviet-era relic on a mountain in Bulgaria is my favorite and one I’ve tried for a long time to get to. It was like summer camp for communist-era leaders of the Soviet Union and has been sealed off for decades. It took an hour to finally find a crack we could pry and squeeze ourselves into. We climbed down a rusted ladder, waded through water, and eventually found ourself in the main chamber. It was breathtaking. The street graffiti covering the communist propaganda from Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and others was an incredible site to see. Perched on top of a mountain with its UFO shape, it looks like it's straight out of a Bond movie.
