I finally did it! For years, I have debated getting my deviated septum fixed & always held it off because of the terrifying recovery stories 🫣😖 Tell me about your surgery experience? 🙏🏼 I got surgery Tuesday. WHY? - Because it CAN be life changing. - To be able to FULLY breathe. I’m stoked to see how this will benefit my SLEEP and exercise. 🤔 - No more struggling with major sinus congestion for weeks from a small cold or allergies that leads into infections. I’m so over not being able to drain well. Recovery: #Septoplasty, #Turbinatereduction & #nasalvalvestenosisrepair. * The worst part is not being able to blow your nose. That feeling is awful and takes so much self control 🫠 * Breathing through your mouth & eating is a challenge. 😤 * Sleeping at an elevation isn’t ideal. * Pressure in sinuses day 3-5 were rough. * I’ve only been given tyelenol and cellebrex for pain management. * Day 6 now and I feel like I’ve turned a corner! BUT, In all honesty, this recovery hasn’t been too bad. I prepared for AWFUL so I’m happy it’s been pretty dang tolerable. My body has been really tired tho.
