What does this really mean? The elbow wasn’t built for 100mph 🔥 But that doesn’t mean you can’t train it to handle the demand Every time you throw at max velo, your elbow is forced into extreme valgus stress, loading your UCL and flexor tendons with forces seen in almost no other sport The pitchers who stay healthy aren’t the ones who avoid load They’re the ones who’ve built capacity for it Follow for more on training your elbow to be bulletproof 🫵 Stay healthy out there, Lucas

Don’t muck around, find out. Comment ‘SOLVE’ to learn how to defeat Pitchers Elbow Aka medial epicondylitis, is a form of tendon injury, where the flexor muscles of the forearm attach to the inner elbow Pain is generally caused by a recent spike in velocity, throwing loads, or general intent Here’s what to do if you’re experiencing it: 1️⃣ Take a couple days off pitching *Let the tendon relax and return to its steady state 2️⃣ Start daily armcare Comment ‘GO’ for my entire daily routine Tendons need to be loaded, even when they are sore! You should get to a stage where you are completing an armcare workout >5 days a week (only takes 10 minutes) 3️⃣ Use a structured return to throwing program Use the 10% rule to avoid re-injury Don’t expect to be back to normal in a week Tendon injuries can take up to 3 months to fully recover Get to it.

Bands and stretches aren't bad. They're just incomplete. If your athlete has elbow pain from throwing, the rehab needs to look like throwing. Not day one, but earlier than most programs get there. Restoring rotation. Training deceleration. Building tolerance to explosive arm action. That doesn't happen with isolated shoulder exercises. It happens when you progressively load the patterns that caused pain in the first place. The goal isn't to avoid stress. It's to build capacity to handle it. That's the difference between pain-free and ready.

When a pitcher throws at max velocity, the elbow absorbs some of the highest forces seen in all of sport. As the arm whips forward, the elbow is forced into extreme valgus stress (loading primarily the UCL and flexor tendons). Its precision meets power in a brief, explosive movement. That’s why elbow pain is so common in pitchers and why Tommy John surgery continues to strike pitchers as early as high school. How do we prevent this? Comment ‘CLAIM’ for proven armcare system TODAY Aim to complete this 3-4x per week Folow  @lucasandersonphysio for more pitchers elbow rehab

Most pitchers don’t blow out their shoulder because they’re weak. They blow it out because their energy is going in the wrong direction. In this clip, we break down one of the biggest hidden causes of bicep tendonitis, SLAP tears, and labrum damage — and it has nothing to do with “throwing harder.” ⚠️ Here’s the problem: When the trunk rotates early and the arm flies out away from the body, the bicep is forced to decelerate everything by itself. That’s when it gets yanked. That’s when the tendon gets inflamed. That’s when the labrum starts taking stress it was never designed to handle. Most “big arm” throwers with bicep pain are early trunk rotators. They look powerful. But they’re leaking energy sideways — and overloading the shoulder. ✅ The fix? Redirect force forward. When the trunk moves linearly toward the target instead of spinning open, the arm turns over faster and in a shorter arc. That reduces stress on the bicep, increases lat involvement, and allows the larger muscle systems to absorb force the way they’re supposed to. More velocity. Less arm stress. Longer career. This is the difference between training your arm… and training your mechanics. If you’re serious about throwing harder without destroying your shoulder, you need to understand where your energy is actually going. We teach this system step-by-step inside TopVelocity. 👉 Learn how to protect your arm while building elite velocity at TopVelocity.org Train smart. Throw hard. Stay healthy.

↓ Defeat pitchers elbow in 2026 Comment ‘Solve’ for my free guide For those of you who don’t get a sore elbow when you throw… Here’s a simple routine that can be a game changer: 1️⃣ Wrist Flexion Weak wrist flexors reduce elbow stability under high throwing forces, increasing the risk of common overuse injuries like UCL strains and flexor-pronator tendinopathy, which is why building flexor strength is essential for pitchers 2️⃣ Wrist Extension Wrist extensors stabilise the wrist and control forearm position during throwing, counterbalancing the flexors and absorbing deceleration forces to reduce stress on passive structures like the UCL, joint capsule, and olecranon 3️⃣ Forearm Pronation/Supination The pronator–supinator muscles control forearm rotation during late cocking and follow-through, and when fatigued increase valgus stress on the UCL, so maintaining strong rotational control acts as a dynamic brace for the elbow 4️⃣ Grip Strength Grip training drives co-contraction of the forearm muscles, creating elbow stability and increasing a pitcher’s tolerance to throwing without pain 5️⃣ Rotator Cuff A weak shoulder increases strain on the elbow, whereas a strong rotator cuff optimizes force transfer and controls extreme shoulder ranges to protect the elbow As always, DMs are open Cheers, Lucas

As a physiotherapist, I always get asked “why does my bicep hurt when I throw?” … and my response is… I constantly get asked “why does my biceps hurt near my elbow when I throw?” …and my response is 👇 IT’S RARELY JUST THE BICEPS ➡️ biceps pain is pitchers is often symptom of a greater problem = poor load management ➡️ the biceps plays a huge role in deceleration forces at the elbow, especially when the forearm or shoulder support is lacking ➡️ when volume spikes, the bicep becomes overworked and SORE ➡️ Whats the solution? - Improve capacity of the biceps - Isometric holds - Controlled eccentric lowers - Forearm endurance work Build the arm you’ve always wanted in 2026, and watch your pitching career rise 📲 Follow me for more pitcher-specific elbow rehab & throwing education

The quest to heal my forearm has landed on this. Directly targeting the Pronator Teres both concentricly and eccentricly, since introducing these this week medial elbow pain is less and less often throughout daily movements. Even after throwing love at bats last night it feels good. Give this a try if you play baseball/softball/QB.

Are you a pitcher looking to throw harder? Start by taking care of your arm. This is how: Step 1: Make sure you have the range of motion (ROM) you need in the shoulder, scapula, and elbow. Step 2: Improve your movement quality within your available ROM. Step 3: Build strength and stability to support it. Mobility ➝ Movement Quality ➝ Strength. That’s how you build a durable, high-velocity arm.
