Here’s how I diffuse my hair for the most bouncy, defined curls!✨ Here are some other tips: •Don’t forget to use a gel preferably a gel with strong or medium hold •When your hair is 70% dry, apply tiniest bit of gel mixed with water for better frizz control and gel cast • I use high heat, high speed and I don’t bring the diffuser in direct contact with my scalp, but if you do, make sure to reduce the heat. it was time i posted my go-to diffuse routine! step by step 👇🏼 i have fine wavy hair which means i easily get wonky curls so a lot of the steps is focused on preventing that! using my beloved @dysonbeauty Supersonic 1. hover for a few minutes, focusing on the roots 2. then hovering (no cupping yet) over my lengths 3. cup my ends/length with my hand [i find i get less wonkiness by doing this rather than using the diffuser head] 4. back focusing on my roots but using the diffuser head to lift the roots for volume 5. NOW i go in with the diffuser head, but only cupping 2/3 of the lengths to prevent wonky curls 6. then cupping only my roots and the highest part of my hair, leaving the ends OUTSIDE the diffuser head 7. final minutes just going all over and damp parts how long does it take for you to diffuse your hair? my diffuse routine never takes more than 15 minutes! and i’m gonna post this styling routine soon 🧖🏼‍♀️ can’t wait to show you!! #wavyhair #curlyhair #diffusewavyhair #diffusecurlyhair #diffuseroutine

HOW YOU DIFFUSE MATTERS💫 I thought it would be fun to show you the mistakes I used to make and what a difference it makes! I have applied the same styling products on both sides. What to do ✅ ✅Start with hover diffusing on low speed ✅Put your hair in the diffuser and lift it up to your scalp. Try to touch your hair as little as possible with your hands. I switch to medium speed. ✅Make sure you also dry your roots. I use medium heat. What not to do ❌ ❌Let your hair air dry before you start with diffusing. Because of the water that’s still in your hair your curls get weighed down. ❌Squeeze your hair while diffusing. ❌Rotate the diffuser on your scalp. This will cause frizz. Why has no one told me this 🫠👋 1. Don’t touch the curls!!!! (Yet🤭) I always thought the more you got in there with your diffuser, ruffle your roots, moved it up and down aggressively… the more volume you got. Wrong!! If you’re going for frizz, that’s the method 😂. Hovering over hair (esp your roots) until the “cast” forms, will keep your curls in tact AND minimize frizz without slowing the drying process! I really don’t let the diffuser prongs even touch my hair until it’s 60% dry🤭 2. Don’t flip that hair! (Yet 😉) same as above.. honestly thought the messier the drying process the better the curls will turn out 🥴. Don’t “disrupt” the curl pattern until roots + lengths are like 60% dry. Then *gently flipping and continuing to hover diffuse and lightly get into your roots will give you that effortless volume but keep those beautiful curl clumps you worked hard to style! 3. Don’t dry it fully. I always thought wet curls would fall flat or look greasy if I did fry them dry 🫠 the most interesting thing about naturally textured hair to me is that it literally takes on a life of its own and no wavy hair day will ever be the same.. despite the exact same products and method. MEANING - let your hair do its thangggg. Dry to about 80% and give it an hour to just embrace the product, the natural movement, air environment etc before getting in with your fingers to fluff and scrunch the finally product. Sometimes that last bit of moisture to air dry out is exactly what my curls need to settle into their bouncy little clumps 🤭
