The fear often comes from being seen alone, the fear of looking socially excluded. But you’re at your own table. You’re comfortable with yourself. You’re doing it by choice. It used to make me feel dissociated during the beginning of my solo travel, but it became comforting and a form of self love overtime, to enjoy my own self company, move at my own pace, order what I wanted, stay as long as I liked, observe the movements, then leave when ready. It is a form of unspoken trust and care you allow to yourself, without any external validation.
