I remember talking to one of my seniors from MA regarding research proposal. That day, I had ZERO idea about research proposal and what all it entails. 💫We can't know everything right?😪 💫We can't have a race with time right? 💫Just like writing a 'Q' felt difficult in nursery, it was nothing in 1st standard. 💫Just like reading a story of 2 pages looked so monstrous at the age of 7, it was nothing at the age of 12. 💫We all learn at our own time. Similarly, I knew nothing about Research proposal in my post-MA phase. Embarking on the journey of crafting a research proposal can indeed be a rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts, filled with moments of uncertainty and clarity alike. Initially, as I began conceptualizing my research, I found myself wrestling with vague ideas, grappling with the abstract and uncertain nature of my area. This phase likely triggered feelings of frustration and anxiety as I struggled to articulate my thoughts into a coherent plan. I asked myself, "Tanya, what do you want to research on?" Sadly, I had no one answer to it. There were answers and more answers. Mentally, I experienced a whirlwind of brainstorming sessions, where ideas flitted in and out of my mind, only to leave me more bewildered than before. Earlier my proposal was: ●Disorganized ●Centre-less ●Ambiguous ●Unclear Emotionally, this phase was challenging because I always thought ●What is trendy in my subject? ●Should I take some fancy research area? ●What is more trendy and what is less trendy? ●I grappled with feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty. ● The fear of failure loomed large, casting a shadow over my enthusiasm and passion. Then What did I do? ■I read more and more. ■I made literary connections. ■I talked to some of my seniors. ■I took help from YouTube. ■I downloaded hundreds of free research proposals. What's the process?? ✅- Identify research topic ✅- Define research questions ✅-Review relevant literature ✅- Formulate objectives ✅- Choose methodology ✅-Outline research plan ✅- Identify resources ✅- Set timeline ✅- Review and refine ✅- Finalize and submit #phdindia #researchpaper #phd #read #researchproposal
