DIY BED HEAD IN PROGRESS🪛🛠️ The inspo, vs the progress. Our pool noodle headboard is underway… this could either turn out awesome or a complete flop😛 we don’t have a bed head behind our bed and I thought it was looking bare and could do with something there. So far we’ve used a leftover piece of laminate, $18 worth of @bunnings pool noodles, liquid nails, and $28 @spotlightstores fabric, which will be used over the top of the noodles after I slice them to size. We created a custom headboard in under 30 minutes… using a duvet cover. Yes, really.🤍🙌 We started with Amy’s existing headboard, added batting for a bit of softness, then slipped a king-size gingham duvet cover over the front and back. A little spray adhesive, a staple gun, and some sisterly teamwork later—and we had a completely new look.✔️ The best part? It’s polished but still lived-in. Warm, classic, a little preppy, and it works beautifully year-round. 💡 Pro tip: spray adhesive is strong—we recommend doing that part outdoors. But true to form, Amy and I were in a hot rush… so we cracked some windows and made it work 😅 And honestly—with so many beautiful duvet covers out there, your options are limitless.
