I feel like most sewing tutorials show making scrunchies with sewing elastic but personally, I think they're better with actual hair ties 🫣 I use a 5x27 inch piece of fabric for this scrunchie but you can play around with the dimensions depending on how big or small you want the scrunchie to be! Let’s make the easiest scrunchie! 🪡🤩 (dimensions below) ✂️ Fabric: I used a scrap piece of cotton for mine. Any light to medium weight fabric would work great! (Using heavier fabric can be a little tough with the burrito method 🌯) Note: I cut my fabric 5” wide x 27” long. If you want a thinner scrunchie, make the width smaller. If you want a thiccccc scrunchie, make it wider. Adjust the length if you want it more/less gathered ☺️ 🧵 Elastic: I used .5” wide elastic. Any thin elastic would work!
