it’s time to check our own biases at the door 🚪🤔 🧍♀️would you feel differently if these moms were in different bodies? 🍎does eating “clean” (whatever that means) ingredient foods trump a healthy relationship with food? why do you think the comment sections are so wildly different? 🤔 #weightinclusive #fatpositive #dietitianeats #tradwife #foodfreedom

Eating so badly that you are not getting the nutrients your body needs in order to function correctly and you are needing a lot of medications along with medical support. It all comes from a lack of discipline within. You’re eating habits, and I can say this for myself only because I did eat very bad and I had given myself type two diabetes from the amount of sugar and over consumption that I was doing it’s taking me three years to finally get to a place where I know my body can handle things and I know it’s healthy, but that doesn’t erase the trauma it carries from not eating the correct ways and not knowing when I was just bored or when I needed actual food or what I was actually needing to sustain myself and make me feel the best version of myself #bigseaturtleenergy #realfood #tradwife #greatdepression #knowyourbody

As a nutrition coach, I’m genuinely passionate about cooking and eating real food 🌶️🥘 Not because it has to be perfect, but because it supports your body in ways ultra-processed foods never will. Real food supports: 🌱 digestion and gut health ⚡ more stable energy & blood sugar 🧠 hormone support & cognitive function 💪 recovery and strength in training It’s one of the simplest ways to feel more balanced, fuel your body properly, and stay connected to what your body actually needs. Ultra-processed foods are convenient, but they often leave you bloated, tired, and still hungry. I care deeply about fuelling my own training and helping my clients do the same in a realistic, sustainable way. This isn’t about restriction or judgement. It’s about choosing food that works for you more often than not. If you want support with nutrition that truly supports your body and training, my inbox is always open 🤍 DM “REAL” and I’ll send you one of my healthy delicious recipe packs I share with my clients! #nutritioniskey #eatrealfood #midlifewomen #midlifewellness #womenover40

My grandfather used to speak words that wounded me every time I left and told him goodbye. I was a child. But I built a belief from those words that followed me into adulthood. Somehow, I created a reality in my mind that said: If a woman isn’t a certain size, she gives a man permission to be unfaithful. It sounds irrational now. But when you’re young, words shape your world. Those words stayed. They shaped how I saw my body. How I saw food. How I measured my worth. They planted a fear that my marriage could fail if I wasn’t a certain size… no matter how much love and reassurance my husband gave me. He has worked patiently for years to help me undo what was never truth to begin with. And even now, as a nutrition and fitness coach… I still have to silence that voice sometimes. That’s why there are certain sentences you will never hear in my house. “You can’t have that.” “That will make you fat.” “You need to burn that off.” Not because I don’t care about health. But because I care deeply about it. I’m not raising kids who fear food. Or fear losing love because of how they look. I’m raising kids who understand their bodies. Who respect them. Who move because they are strong not because they are ashamed. In our home, we grind flour for bread. We lift weights in the garage. We eat protein. We gather around a loud table. We bake. We lift. We live. And I am choosing to break what once tried to shape me. Do you need to erase lies? #breakinggenerationalcurses #legacyofstrength #rebuildmindset

When health becomes your obsession and all you see is danger for your kids Ignorance is bliss✨️ This saying is stupid and true at the same time When I started to become more health conscious I looked into everything - food, nutrition, labels, origin, water, drinks, movement, breath, nervous system, screens, radiation, etc. I dive deep and don't stop until I feel satisfied Unfortunately with the topic of food and health it seems like a never ending story Almost daily I come across something else that seems dangerous or unhealthy to our kids And then I spiral down again into the rabbit hole to find out details and how to make a change 💜Often I put food back into the shelves in supermarkets 🤍Often I reconsider what we will have for dinner due to what else we ate that day 💜Often I stand in the kitchen shredding cheese or slicing ham in bulk 🤍Often I cringe when my kids have ice cubes at a restaurant ....and all because I know what is better for their growing little bodies It can be exhausting trying to do the right thing The value of looking after my kids and providing them with the best start possible is pretty high for me Often I weigh between the exhaustion and the effort Most of the time my value wins and I feel satisfied and tired at the same time Because I have done what I believe in Finding the right tools, the right resources and sources will make life easier There are a few areas now where I feel much calmer and don't have to stress about it anymore ....drinking water, cleaning my house, screens and radiation, showering and bathing are all ticked of the list as I found the for me most perfect ways to deal with 👉Are you a mum that is health obsessed and wants to do the best she can for her kids growing up? Comment "OBSESSION" below and I will send you details on my go to's and what I ticked of my concerning list. Love and Light, Julia💜

The uncomfortable truth about improving your eating habits… Is that you almost have to take full responsibility for it. If you’re trying to avoid sugar, processed foods, additives, seed oils, or dairy that doesn’t work for your body… you quickly realize something. You can’t just “grab something” anymore. Even at nice restaurants, when they say they use olive oil… often it’s blended with a seed oil. You go out thinking you made a good choice and your body tells you otherwise. So what does that mean? It means cooking more. Reading labels. Packing snacks when you’re out. Being that woman who brings her own food sometimes. And I know that can feel inconvenient. But at this stage of life, I care more about how I feel than how convenient it is. I want steady energy. Clear thinking. A body that moves well. And that requires intention. We don’t have to be perfect. But we do have to be aware. Are you finding this too as you get older?

70% of what kids eat isn’t really food anymore. It’s been industrially processed so heavily that the natural structure is destroyed. Here’s what that means: when food loses its natural cellular structure, it digests too fast. Blood sugar spikes. Fullness signals never fire. Gut bacteria starve. The numbers are staggering: 60% of adult diets are ultra-processed 70% of children’s diets are ultra-processed 47% higher risk of heart attack and stroke Linked to 12 chronic diseases This isn’t accidental. Food companies designed products that bypass your body’s natural fullness signals. Because food that doesn’t make you feel full is food you buy more of. Your body evolved to process whole, structured food. It doesn’t know how to regulate what’s been industrially destroyed. What percentage of your family’s diet is ultra-processed?#womenover50 #healthyhabits

Religious or not, this is such a beautiful practice to do everyday before you eat. The way food interacts with your body will change dramatically. #wellnessjourney #healthyhabits #womenswellness #balancedlifestyle #womenover40

Block it all out and do the research for your own health!! Choose real, whole foods instead. No seed oils. No artificial dyes. No ingredients I can’t pronounce. Just food that actually fuels my body, balances my hormones, and keeps my gut happy. The government isn’t coming to save your health. That’s YOUR job. And it starts at the grocery store. The system isn’t broken, it’s just not built for our health. I make most things from scratch with minimally processed, nutrient-dense ingredients… not because it’s trendy or I’m a tradwife, but because once you understand how ultra-processed foods are engineered (to optimize shelf life, hyper-palatability, repeat consumption, + profit), it becomes pretty obvious they’re not designed for metabolic health, hormone balance, or long-term vitality. So I don’t argue with it, I just opt out because I’d rather do the work in the kitchen now than ask my body to do it later. You don’t have to do everything, at once. Just start where it makes sense 🫶🏼 and follow along if you want to make food choices that actually make biological sense.
