Teachers…it’s the end of the year, but it’s not OVER yet. 🍎 Which is honestly the educational equivalent of surviving a shipwreck and then being told to finish your email replies. The kids are done. We are done. Even the pencils have given up. This time of year is strange because the classroom starts turning back into real life. The grades are almost final. The routines fall apart. The emotional support water bottle has seen things. And suddenly these little humans you spent all year teaching start acting like they’re already ghosts of summer. But here’s the hard part: this is usually when they need us the most. Because the end of the year isn’t just chaos. It’s transition. Some kids are leaving hard situations. Some are terrified to leave structure. Some are pretending they don’t care because middle schoolers would rather fight a bear than admit they’re emotional. And teachers? We feel it too. We joke. We’re marinating and air-frying for that perfect char, then dropping it into a rich, velvety sauce. 🥘 It’s STUNNING—you won’t believe how quick this is! ❤️ Enjoy and SAVE this! 🔥 SHARE with your favourite foodie! Marinade * 1kg boneless chicken thighs or breasts chopped * 1/2 cup yogurt - small carton * 2 tablespoons ginger/garlic paste * 2 teaspoons garam masala * 1 teaspoon turmeric * 1 teaspoon ground cumin * 1 teaspoon chilli powder * 1 teaspoon of salt For the sauce * 2 tablespoons veg or coconut oil * 2 tablespoons ghee or butter * 1 large onion chopped * 2 tablespoons garlic/ginger paste * 2 teaspoons ground cumin * 2 teaspoons garam masala * 1 teaspoon ground coriander * 400g chopped fresh tomatoes * 1 teaspoon chili powder * 1 teaspoons salt to taste * 200 ml double cream * 1 tablespoon caster sugar * 1 teaspoon kasoori methi and chopped coriander and if you like a large knob of butter. Marinade the chicken for as long as you can - overnight is good then Air fry or roast chicken at 200°C for 20 minutes turning once * Heat some butter or ghee in the pan. Fry the onions until they start to sweat, add garlic and then add ground coriander, cumin, salt, chilli and garam masala fry for 30 secs * Add chopped tomatoes. * Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring until sauce thickens * Remove from heat, put mixture into a blender until smooth. You may need to add a couple tablespoons of water to help. May need to do in batches too * Pour sauce back into the pan. Stir the cream, sugar and crushed methi into the sauce. Add the chicken with juices back into the pan and cook for another 10 mins until chicken is cooked and the sauce is thick #QuickRecipes #ButterChickenRecipe #homecooking
