Pump 1 kH/pH: Starting dose at 20ml per day. 💧 Pump 2 Ca/Mg: Starting dose at 20m per day. 🌊 ⚠️ Lines Pro Tip: Use quality dosing lines. Always keep the ends above the sump water line to avoid accidental siphoning and a total system drain! The Mixing Action (Crucial Step): ION-B is a complete solution, but you must mix in the separate ION ELEMENTS before dosing starts. This integrates necessary trace elements, ensuring your reef is balanced from Day 1. I added 15ml of Element 1 and 2 to Ca/Mg and 15ml of Element 3 to kH/pH. REMINDER: The final proof is in the data. Let’s talk about trace elements! Overall, I think the hobby is much more worried about trace elements than we need to be. I don’t think the average reef keeper really needs to worry about trace elements if you’re keeping up with regular partial water changes. Yes, even with regular water changes, some elements may eventually become depleted, but it’s debatable how much that matters. I don’t think anyone’s corals are dying because they aren’t dosing trace elements.
