I don’t normally comment on people’s injuries or other physician’s work, but I think the public deserves to understand how complex and complicated this surgery was and how Dr. Hackett really knocked it out of the park. As a fellow orthopedic surgeon, I was really blown away and feel so proud for the entire team of orthopedic surgeons, PAs, nurses, anesthesiologists, scrub techs, and device reps who made this happen. @thesteadmanclinic @lindseyvonn

Surgery yesterday went well…. Been having a hard time with the pain in my knee. You may have noticed I haven’t been posting many workout videos lately… that’s why. Dr Hackett did a great job and removed a lot of bone spurs and scar tissue. Hopefully now I can straighten my leg fully! This is my last step before getting a knee replacement… hoping this will hold me over for a year or two until I get the big surgery. Ahhh the price we pay to do what we love. Still worth it though. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. Means a lot. See you on the mat and the slopes soon! ❤️🙏🏻💪🏻

Life throws curveballs sometimes. My Central America surf trip was cut short due to a torn meniscus, but I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Hackett and the amazing team @thesteadmanclinic for getting me back on track with a quick fix. Recovery is already underway, and I’m counting down the days until I’m back on my snowboard in Japan—just 6 weeks to go! I’m finally out of the hospital!!! 🙌🏻 After almost 2 weeks of laying in a hospital bed almost completely immobile, I’m finally well enough to move to a hotel. It’s not home yet, but it’s a huge step! I hope I explained my injury well enough. I’m not a doctor so if I don’t explain something perfectly please forgive me. When the injury happened the situation was quite challenging in many ways but in the end, the situation was brought back into control. Again, thank you Dr Tom Hackett 🙏🏻❤️ Now I will focus on rehab and progressing from a wheelchair to crutches in a few weeks. It will take around a year for all of the bones to heal and then I will decide if I want to take out all the metal or not, and then go back into surgery and finally fix my ACL. It will be a long road but I’ll get there. At least I’m out of the hospital 🙌🏻💪🏻 Love you all 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
